Most of us have said something we regret when we thought no one was paying attention, whether venting in frustration, speaking negatively about someone, or letting discouragement spill out. Bishop-Elect Mack preached from Acts 16 that Paul and Silas were thrown into a Roman prison not for doing wrong but for doing God's work, and at midnight, instead of complaining, they began to pray and sing praises. The other prisoners heard them, the earth shook, every door flew open, and every chain broke loose. Two people praised, but everybody got free. The message landed hard: your words reveal your worship, your problem does not give you permission to stop praising God, and someone is always within earshot of your voice waiting to be set free by what they hear you say.
