Most of us want all of God without giving up any of ourselves, and that tension is exactly what Bishop-Elect Mack preached into at The L.I.V.E. Church. Drawing from Philippians 3, he showed how the apostle Paul counted every credential, every comfort, and every accomplishment as loss the moment he truly encountered Christ, not because those things were evil, but because Christ became worth more than all of them combined. From the garden in Genesis 3 to the broken cisterns in Jeremiah 2, Mack traced how the enemy has always used the fear of losing to keep people negotiating with God instead of surrendering to him. The bottom line was simple and direct: freedom does not begin when God removes what you are afraid to lose, it begins when Christ becomes more valuable than whatever you are holding on to.
