This Palm Sunday, Pastor brought a word that told us Palm Sunday didn't start with the palms or the entry, it started with a loosing.
The Word: Loose (Greek: luo) — to untie, release, and set free from what is holding something back.
The message told us:
- You were chosen to be loosed. The donkey didn't know Jesus needed him, but Jesus knew exactly where he was, what he was tied to, and what he was capable of. God chose you before you were aware of your appointment.
- You are tied where God can find you. What feels like restriction may actually be reservation. You're not stuck — you're stationed. Don't fight the rope. Hold on right where you are.
- What you're loosed for is greater than what you're loosed from. God isn't looking for the finished, polished, put-together. He's looking for the unripe, the in-between, the Bethpage (where the donkey was) — the place of not yet. That's where He sent for the donkey. That's where He's sending for you.
The Challenge: What's your rope? Fear? Your past? Comfort? Someone else's expectations? Get loose from it. The King has need of you.
