February is American Heart Month. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., and Black Americans are disproportionately affected. More than half of Black adults have high blood pressure, often without any noticeable symptoms.
Heart disease is largely preventable.
Heart attack symptoms aren't always dramatic. Chest discomfort, shortness of breath, jaw or arm pain — if something feels sudden and unusual, don't wait. Call 911.
